ABOUT US

The Youth Musician and Artist Association (YMAA), founded in 2015, is a dynamic non-profit organization composed of students ranging from elementary to high school levels in the Greater Vancouver area. With a mission to enrich the community through the arts, YMAA seeks to inspire and connect with the general public by providing opportunities for young musicians and artists to showcase their talents while making a positive impact.

Throughout its years of activity, YMAA has become a vital part of the local cultural landscape, organizing a variety of events aimed at supporting community causes and enhancing the quality of life for residents. These initiatives include fundraising concerts, live performances at senior homes, charity events benefiting food banks, and other creative projects that address social needs. YMAA’s dedication to fostering a sense of togetherness is reflected in the diverse range of performances it curates, from classical music concerts to modern artistic expressions.

By engaging directly with the public, YMAA not only provides a platform for young artists to grow and develop their skills, but it also encourages the community to participate in and support the arts. Their events serve as a bridge between generations and a source of joy for many, particularly the elderly and underserved populations. Over the years, YMAA has built a strong reputation for its commitment to community service, artistic expression, and social impact, contributing to the cultural vibrancy and social fabric of the Greater Vancouver area.

OUR MISSION

Our goal is to bring joy, happiness, and inspiration to the community by dedicating our time and effort through music and art, one performance at a time. We believe in the transformative power of the arts to uplift spirits and strengthen community bonds. To achieve this, we hold regular performances, particularly at senior homes, where we seek to bring comfort and entertainment to elderly residents. In response to evolving times, we have also expanded our efforts by hosting virtual recitals, allowing us to continue sharing our music and art with a broader audience, regardless of physical limitations.

OUR VISION

YMAA envisions a future where our connection with the community continues to grow and flourish. We aim to strengthen our relationship with the people we serve by organizing more events that bring music and art to a wider audience. Additionally, we are committed to fostering closer connections with our dedicated volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported in their efforts. Through these initiatives, we hope to create a more vibrant, unified community that benefits from the joy and inspiration of the arts.
